Participants will be able to:
· Understand the 9 temperamental traits and how the intersection between students' and teachers' temperaments can play out in classrooms, and affect interactions and behaviors
· Use strategies for making classroom adjustments that will create a classroom environment supportive of a wide range of personalities
Dr. Tamar Bauman
Dr. Tamar Bauman, a School-Clinical Psychologist, has been a senior presenter and coach for Hidden Sparks for the last 17 years and has lectured, coached and mentored teacher coaches in over 15 Yeshivos and Bais Yaakov’s in the New York area. She has 20+ years of experience helping children with mental health, behavioral, and academic challenges. Prior to her involvement with Hidden Sparks, Dr. Bauman worked for the School Mental Health Program at Long Island Jewish Medical Center. Dr. Bauman has also organized social skills and bully-prevention programming for schools and has provided learning, social skills, and anti-bullying workshops for students, teachers, and parents. She has presented on the topic of temperament multiple times and has appreciated watching teachers experience those “aha moments,” and gain insights and understanding into an area that often leaves them perplexed.Become a Member!
