Rabbi Yaakov Oppen
Rabbi Yaakov Oppen holds a Masters in Educational Leadership from Bellevue University, as well as Rabbinic ordination from Beth Medrash Govoha. He has three decades of experience in education, first as a Rebbi, and then as General Studies Principal and Associate Dean of Yeshiva Bais Hachinuch in Spring Valley, New York. He is currently the General Studies Principal in Yeshiva Bais Mikroh. Rabbi Oppen brings his keen understanding of children and passion to reach every child in the mainstream classroom, along with his excellent oratory skills and clarity of presentation.
Rabbi Aaron Kagan
Rabbi Aaron Kagan is the Director of Special Projects at Torah Umesorah.
He was born in the United Kingdom. He grew up in Lakewood, New Jersey and then Pittsburgh, where his father Rabbi Shaul Kagan, zt"l, founded the Kollel Bais Yitzchok in 1977.
His formative years were spent in Yeshiva Toras Chaim in Denver. Rabbi Kagan studied for four years in Jerusalem and then at BMG in Lakewood.
After his father's passing, he took the reins as the Rosh Kollel/Dean in Pittsburgh, PA. where he oversaw the administrative and financial responsibilities of the organization; and gave a number of weekly classes.
After 16 years he left the kollel and now lives in the 5 Towns. He started a consulting firm - RAK Consulting & Coaching for non-profits.
In addition to his eclectic Seforim and book collection, he is fond of contemporary mussar writers, Jewish philosophy and the writings of Rav Tzaddok HaCohen of Lublin.
