Mrs. Chany Rushnawitz
Chany Rushnawitz is the founder and director of the Simply Chumash program. As Lead Teacher of a learning center in Detroit, Michigan, Mrs. Rushnawitz found that existing methods for teaching Chumash left many students without the tools to become independent learners, and sought to develop a comprehensive program that filled this gap. The well-designed program and engaging materials that she created have helped students acquire Chumash proficiency using a systematic, skills-based approach. Simply Chumash is the product of a collaborative effort by educators to adapt this program to the mainstream classroom after observing its success both inside and outside the classroom.
